In a realm where there is power in fear, Leo is sent to The Academy of Fear to find his power. Driven by the need to be more than just a Null, how far is Leo willing to go to find his fear? And will he still be himself when faced with what he truly fears?
Set in an alternate realm, the world is equivalent to that of the early 2000s. It is a relatively newly established dystopian society where power is based on your abilities around your fear. There are three main classes in this society: High (Most Fear Powerful), Middle (Low Powered Fear and Null) and Low (The Lost, forgotten and discarded). The City of Angst was the epicentre for the insurrection which led to the induction of the Academy of Fear and all that it entails.

Over the course of 2025, a select group of young writers was invited to take part in a year-long writing program at Story Factory. Their goal was to produce a fully realised novella. This is one of the novellas produced in these workshops.
