Since its opening in 1821, the Parramatta Female Factory Institutions Precinct has been an orphanage, prison, asylum, medical facility and school. Its history provides a unique opportunity to consider the relationship between institutions and individuals.
Over two very chilly weeks in July 2021, students from Pendle Hill High School and Wiley Park Girls High School completed Story Factory's Art and the Institution program at the Parramatta Female Factory Institutions Precinct.
