Sarah Dee is a 17-year-old Filipina who lives her heart out in forms of poetry, writing, music and art. In 2022, I baked you a cake was published with Story Factory as her first poetry book, and you are the star was published in 2023. Her third poetry book, Orange Peelings, was made during her last year with Story Factory and last year of high school — filled with yearning, activism, love, female empowerment, learning and solitude.
In 2022, Sarah was shortlisted and highly commended in the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan Local Prize category hosted by Red Room Poetry, and won the Local Youth Excellence Award for Creative Arts hosted by the Campbelltown Rotary Awards in 2023. She was profiled by the South Sydney Herald and featured on FBi Radio in 2024.

Over the course of 2024, a select group of young writers was invited to take part in a year-long writing program at Story Factory. Their goal was to produce a collection of poetry. This is one of the collections produced in these workshops.
